Welcome to Erin R. McCoy’s online teaching portfolio! I am a Ph.D. candidate in Humanities at the University of Louisville. My dissertation concerns the historical and cultural importance of lyrics in American songs written during the Vietnam War era, and I expect to graduate in May 2013. I also hold a Graduate Certificate in Latin American & Latino Studies from the University of Louisville (August 2011), with a focus on national and cultural identities in Latin America. I have been an adjunct faculty member of Jefferson Community & Technical College’s English Department for four years; I teach college writing, freshman composition, and business writing. You can read more about me” here, check out my current publications, or view my curriculum vitae here.

You are welcome to browse this website and use the information provided, such as my Sample Syllabi and Sample Lesson Plans, as you wish; I believe strongly in sharing information among my academic colleagues (whoever you are!), and, if you have any questions or requests, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly.

This site also serves as a hub for my Cross-College/Classroom Blog Projects, as well as my newest foray into freshman composition and technology: my Choose Your Own Adventure hypertext assignment, which I welcome you to view and utilize. Thank you for visiting, and please let me know if you have any questions – if you use one of my lesson plans, I’d love to hear how it went over, so please leave a comment! Thanks for stopping by!
